I noticed that when I changed the website title in the configuration menu that it shows in the same area as the tabs in my website, which causes it to overlap with tabs. How can I remove it from the tab area but keep it so it will show in search engines?

It sounds like something specific to the theme you're using. Do you recall which theme it is? If not, you can find it on your Admin_Theme_Content page.

The theme I'm using is the default theme.

Ok, so the tab area content defaults to your website title, but you can customize it. If you move your mouse over the tab area where the website title shows, you should see one of the editing boxes appear. Click edit, enter something different and click save!
